Key Responsibilities- Implement components of patient care plans and collect data related to treatments provided, collaborating with the supervising Physical Therapist to modify care as necessary
- Assist patients of all ages with stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
- Transport and assist patients moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area
- Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home therapy techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized physical therapy environment
- Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Missouri
- Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with patients across a broad age range, including geriatric populations
- Familiarity with skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility workflows and documentation
