Implement components of patient care plans and obtain data related to treatments provided, collaborating with the supervising Physical Therapist to modify care as necessary
Assist patients of all ages with stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
Transport and assist patients moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area
Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home care techniques
Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Missouri
Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience
Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working with patients across a broad age range, including geriatric populations
Familiarity with balance training and functional mobility techniques
