Key Responsibilities- Implement components of patient care plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with stretching, therapeutic exercises, and balance training techniques
- Collect and document data related to treatments provided and collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify care as necessary
- Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home techniques
- Transport and assist patients safely between mobility aids and the therapy area
- Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
- Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with patients across a broad range of conditions including post-stroke rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurological conditions, or pulmonary programs
- Familiarity with fall prevention programs and balance enhancement techniques
