Job Summary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse located locally. This position involves providing specialized critical care for pediatric patients in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The role offers an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care for infants, adolescents, and children with critical health needs.
Job Details
Position Description: Critical care nurse with experience in Pediatrics, PICU, or related units. Knowledge of pediatric critical care procedures and equipment required.
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred.
Education/Experience: 2 years of pediatric critical care or PICU experience preferred. Must hold a valid compact state license.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Floating to NICU or units within skill set required; orientation provided. Certified in Pediatric Critical Care, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Post-Op/Pre-Op, or similar preferred. Must be able to meet unit needs, including working every other weekend and working three of five major holidays.
Clinical Skills: Managing breathing treatments, chest tube care, Vents, PICC line management, procedural sedation, RSI, trach care, blood products administration, CVP monitoring, and pediatric-specific procedures.
Submission Requirements: Must include responses regarding prior employment at Providence facilities and provide 2 references covering at least 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the past 3 years.
