Job Summary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a teaching hospital environment. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support critically ill pediatric patients.
Job Details
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications, at least 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in a PICU or similar setting
Unit Information: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) / Level II Trauma, 15 beds, staff of 38, general equipment including CR monitoring, Electronic Medical Records in Meditech / CPN
Typical Procedures: IV starts and blood draws, TPT placements
Personality Fit: Works well under pressure and in a teaching hospital environment
Additional Information: The unit utilizes advanced equipment and maintains a high standard of patient care, making it suitable for dedicated and adaptable RNs.
