Job Summary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse in Oakland This position involves providing specialized critical care to pediatric patients in a Level 1 trauma center. The role requires adaptability to float across facilities and deliver advanced patient care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring safety and well-being.
Job Details
Certifications: CA Registered Nurse License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for all RN positions, CA license in hand required for all RN positions
Location Requirements: No specific location restrictions
Years of Experience: 5 years of pediatric critical care experience required, with at least 2 years of patient ratio experience and charting system experience in Epic preferred
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: CA RN License, BLS, PALS, Pediatric ICU experience, 5 years of experience, valid CA license, experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, IV management, ventilator care, patient assessment, and complex pediatric procedures
Additional Information: Ability to float to other UC facilities as needed. Must complete required modules; orientation begins the week prior to start date. Travel experience not required but experience on level 1 trauma centers and with pediatric critical care is preferred.
Submittal Requirements: Two references from most recent employer, employment history with UC facilities must be included, and certifications must be current.
