Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric ICU position requiring OH or compact RN licensure and current PICU experience with Epic charting.

Details

• PICU setting within a children's hospital
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Floating required to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH state or compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required
• Recent Level 1 trauma experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 2 professional references required, including at least one supervisor or manager titled reference
• Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Skilled in IV therapy including central line and PICC line management, phlebotomy, and administration of blood products
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with ICP monitoring, isolation precautions/PPE, and wound assessment/care

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Must be willing to comply with facility float expectations across multiple units
• First time travelers considered with closer to 3 years of PICU experience
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff for the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
• No local candidates allowed within a 60-mile radius
