Typical Hiring Profile
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- PICU or NICU experience.
- Experience in women's health specialties, including Labor & Delivery and OB/GYN.
Typical Procedures & Clinical Skills
- Spinal taps (lumbar punctures)
- Titration of critical drips, including sedation, vasoactive and paralytic medications
- Sedated MRI
- EKG, EEG and telemetry monitoring
- Port access and discontinuation
- Intubation and extubation
Ideal Candidate
- Patient and compassionate.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Organized and able to manage competing clinical priorities.
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- Registered Nurse License
Floating Requirements
- May float to NICU to care for low-acuity patients or to the Nursery.
- May float to OB/GYN if qualified.
Dress Code
- Scrubs: Teal
Scheduling Requirements
Weekends: Rotating weekends.
Shifts: May be required to work a combination of day, night and weekend shifts to meet staffing needs.
On-Call: Not specified.
