Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Work within a large PICU environment (20 beds or larger) managing complex, critically ill pediatric patients
• Float to acute care or NICU settings as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Complete one orientation shift in the Cardiac ICU (CICU) to support float coverage during the assignment
• Document patient care and clinical data using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled; potential for precepting responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of independent PICU experience required; experience in a 20-bed PICU or larger required
• CVPICU exposure or experience required (lesser extent of experience considered)
• Active Washington State RN License or Compact RN License required; candidates without a Washington license must be willing to apply upon offer
• PALS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Combined PICU and CVPICU clinical background
• Experience in a Magnet-designated, teaching, or Level I Trauma pediatric facility
