Description

American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a 12-hour day shift assignment requiring OH or compact RN license, BSN, and PICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) unit of a Magnet-designated hospital
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
• Float required to a secondary campus location in addition to the main hospital campus
• All travelers will float to competent units
• Epic charting system experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration, no exceptions
• BSN required for consideration due to Magnet facility status
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required
• Skills in respiratory care and care of ventilated patients required
• Skills in infection control/PPE and wound assessment/care required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Facility will consider prior employees to return as travelers as long as they are not currently active employees
• Facility has a strict do-not-call policy
