Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring 2 years of PICU experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a Level I Trauma hospital
  • Patient population includes pediatric critical care, congenital heart disease/repair, and post-neurosurgery cases
  • Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) or Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00) scheduling available
  • Required to work every other weekend, or every third weekend if minimal RTO is requested
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating required to CICU, MSICU, and NICU as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts (MA) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
  • Experience with ventilator management, inotropy, and central lines required
  • Care of ventilated patients and respiratory skills required
  • Cardiovascular skills including congenital heart disease/repair experience required
  • Level I Trauma hospital experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in the PICU, including ventilator management and cardiovascular care
  • Support post-neurosurgery and neurologic patient populations as part of unit responsibilities
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a differentiated rate
  • Two verified professional references required from two different facilities among the last three places worked
