Description

American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a Level I trauma pediatric facility requiring GA or compact RN licensure and PALS certification.

Details

• Level I trauma pediatric ICU setting with 1:2 patient ratios
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float required between ICUs at two campuses, including NICU (Level IV), TICU, PICU, and CICU, and to general care areas if no ICU need exists
• Servo ventilators used across all ICUs
• RRTs utilized in each ICU

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required, license in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Level I trauma facility experience required
• Experience with ICU drips, medications, and vasopressors required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must be available to work either the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday rotation based on staffing needs
• Candidates requesting both holidays off will not be considered
• Nicotine-free campus; facility tests for cotinine/nicotine and does not allow smoking
• Med pass/fail test administered, with a second chance to pass; failure to pass the second test results in cancellation
