Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least 1 year of PICU experience and 1 year of prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a children's hospital
• Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU with 390 staffed beds
• Magnet-designated, teaching hospital environment
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 36 hours/week (3x12 or 4x12 options)
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses Epic for charting
• Floating required between main campus and sister hospital located in Overland Park, KS, approximately 12 miles away
• Scrubs may be any kid-friendly color or pattern

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Kansas RN license also required; candidates may start with a Kansas license pending if documentation of application is provided
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA-issued only; RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a traveler required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in care of ventilated patients, ICP monitoring, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Must pass a medication/dosage test with 100% accuracy within first week (up to 3 attempts allowed)
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
• Two supervisor-level professional references completed within the last 12 months required for consideration
