Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum of 1 year of recent, direct bedside experience with pediatric critical care patients.
Experience with pediatric mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal CPAP, and managing tracheostomies.
Experience with managing arterial lines, central lines, and titrating vasoactive, paralytic, and sedative infusions and other critical care pediatric medications.
Competency in weight-based pharmacology (Broset-method/PALS dosing) and age-specific assessments stretching from neonates up to adolescents and young adults.

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Precepting novice and new graduate nurses.

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Management of advanced respiratory interventions, invasive lines, and continuous organ-support therapies.
Assistance in intubation, central line management, hypodynamic monitoring, and moderate sedation for specialized pediatric procedures.
Titrating complex drip and continuous infusions.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS, ACLS, PALS
Floating Area(s):
ICU & NICU

Weekends and On call(if any)
Rotating weekends, 4 weekend shifts a month
