Job Title: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: Polysomnography Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Must have a state license in hand Certifications: BLS, RPSGT, or Polysomnography License Must-Have: MUST HAVE a state license in hand. The shifts available cover Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights from 18:30 to 07:00. The candidate will not need to work Saturday or Sunday nights. Description: This position involves performing sleep studies and evaluations for patients. The caregiver will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting results of polysomnographic studies. The expected patient-to-staff ratio is 2:1. A knowledge of sleep diagnostics, equipment, and calibration is essential. Experience with various sleep apnea treatments and equipment is required. Familiarity with the charting system is mandatory. Candidates must have knowledge of procedures and protocols related to sleep studies. The position requires participation in weekend shifts as scheduled. Traveling between facilities may be necessary. Candidates should be prepared to work holidays. A reliable vehicle is required for this assignment.
