Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Mother-Baby, Couplet Care, and Post Partum care. This role requires expertise in managing care for postpartum patients and their newborns, ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to postpartum patients following vaginal or cesarean deliveries.
• Administer blood and blood products as necessary.
• Manage various medical devices including drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps.
• Utilize wound vacs and administer medications such as Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate.
• Oversee OB-GYN, post-operative care, and care for patients post vaginal delivery.
• Facilitate postpartum admissions and manage normal newborn care, including thermoregulation and glucose management.
• Participate in couplet care practices.
• Float between neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or labor and delivery (L&D) as required.
• Occasionally float to multiple locations within the region as staffing needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• First-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is required.
• Experience with post-op care and postpartum readmissions is essential.
• Ability to work weekend shifts as needed to meet staffing requirements.

Shift Information

Scheduled shift: Day shifts (4x12 hours, from 07:00 to 19:30).
