Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• >Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital environment on the 3rd floor
• 9-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Adult patient population including cases such as normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Uses Centricity and Meditech EHR systems
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirement to Postpartum unit

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, and EFM
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Skilled in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and stamina required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care to adult patients
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Navy scrub color required; scrubs with slogans, graphics, or offensive content and inappropriate footwear are not permitted
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
