Description

American Traveler is hiring a Postpartum RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care postpartum experience and BLS and NRP certifications.

Details

• Work in a Post Partum/Gyn unit consisting of 14 LDRP beds and 2 ORs
• Unit staffed with approximately 60 team members including charge RNs, LD RNs, and PP RNs on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines at 1:1 to 1:2 for LD and 3:1 for PP
• Common procedures include versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs
• Uses Beacon equipment for patient care
• Charts using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• 13-week assignment with a 7P-7A night shift schedule

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Postpartum RN experience required
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Postpartum/Gyn unit alongside LD and PP RNs, CNAs, and sitters
• Strong communication with staff and families is essential in this role

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
