Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available. Weekend requirement: 6 weekend days per contract. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-census postpartum unit serving a diverse patient population with high-risk obstetric cases
• Standard patient assignment of 4 couplets with ability to manage census surges
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• 57-bed unit with daily census of approximately 45 patients
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of high-acuity postpartum experience
• Flexible assignment options: choose 3x12 or 4x12 schedule and 13 or 26-week contract length

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience with high-acuity patients required
• Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• High-risk obstetric care experience required, including magnesium sulfate therapy
• Demonstrated competency in postpartum hemorrhage management, Pitocin administration, Foley catheter care, and substance withdrawal protocols
• Experience with cesarean section recovery, episiotomy/incision care, and fundus/lochia/perineum assessment
• Ability to float to nearby campuses for postpartum care and labor and delivery for second-hour recovery
• JADA experience preferred
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
