Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Mother/Baby / Postpartum / Couplet Care
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Seattle, Washington 98122
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12, traveler choice
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Float Requirement: May float to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery units as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Start Date: 10/19/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• At least 2 years of Mother/Baby, postpartum, or high-acuity postpartum nursing experience
• Experience caring for postpartum patients with complex needs
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with high-risk obstetric care strongly preferred
• Comfort with magnesium sulfate therapy, postpartum hemorrhage management, Pitocin, Foley care, and couplet care
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment and adapt to census surges
• Willingness to float to related areas when needed
• First-time travelers with strong postpartum experience are welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based Mother/Baby and postpartum nursing care
• Monitor mothers and newborns following delivery and assess recovery progress
• Support couplet care for postpartum patients and infants
• Recognize and respond to high-risk obstetric needs and postpartum complications
• Administer and manage medications and therapies such as magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
• Assist with postpartum hemorrhage prevention and intervention
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to promote safe, efficient patient care
• Float to related postpartum or labor & delivery areas as assigned
