• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040

• Floating: Required to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery recovery areas as needed

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Mother/Baby nursing, postpartum nursing, or high-acuity post-partum experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at submission; compact RN license accepted
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong experience with high-risk obstetric care and women’s health nursing
• Experience with magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, Foley care, postpartum hemorrhage, and couplet care
• Ability to manage a standard assignment of 4 couplets and adapt to census surges
• Substance withdrawal experience preferred
• JADA experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating between related postpartum and recovery units
• Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor recovery following delivery and support patients throughout the postpartum period
• Assess fundus, lochia, perineum, incision care, and overall maternal recovery
• Administer and monitor medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
• Respond to postpartum hemorrhage and other high-risk obstetric needs
• Support care for patients experiencing substance withdrawal
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication with the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to changing census needs and maintain professionalism in a high-volume acute care environment
