**Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-op/PACU/Cath Lab Procedural Recovery** Join a dynamic team as a Pre-Op/PACU RN, where you’ll provide exceptional care to patients before and after surgical and cath lab procedures! **Key Responsibilities:** - **Pre-Operative & Pre-Procedure Phase:** - Assess patient medical history, allergies, lab results, and consents. - Verify antiplatelet/anticoagulant compliance and renal labs. - Prepare IV lines and initiate hydration protocols. - Educate patients and families about the surgical or cath lab process. - **Post-Anesthesia & Post-Cath Lab Recovery Phase:** - Receive detailed reports from OR and Cath Lab teams. - Monitor airway patency, oxygen saturation, vital signs, and telemetry. - Manage access sites and perform sheath assessments. - Enforce post-femoral bed rest protocols and manage patient recovery. - **Medication Administration & Infusion Titration:** - Administer scheduled and emergent medications using strict verification. - Prepare and manage high-alert medications and continuous infusions. - Ensure dual-verification for medications and pediatric dosing. - **Blood & Blood Product Administration:** - Conduct two-nurse bedside verification for transfusions. - Monitor vital signs and manage transfusion reactions. - Document transfusion processes and patient tolerances accurately. - **Clinical Care Excellence & General Nursing Standards:** - Maintain universal precautions and comply with safety guidelines. - Initiate and maintain reliable vascular access and specimen collection. - Assist patients in anesthesia recovery and manage symptoms effectively. - **Professional Communication & Documentation:** - Foster collaboration with patients and the healthcare team. - Coordinate care with supervisory and operating room personnel. - Document care accurately in electronic health records. - **Equipment, Technology, & Workspace Stewardship:** - Operate and maintain specialized patient care equipment. - Utilize standard workplace technology effectively. - **Comprehensive Patient Education:** - Provide pre-procedural guidance and alleviate patient anxiety. - Deliver detailed discharge and caregiver instructions. - Conduct follow-up calls to assess patient outcomes. **Shift Information:** - 3x12s, 9am-9pm **Minimum Years of Experience:** - 2 years **Certifications/Requirements:** - ACLS - BLS/BCLS - PALS - NRP - ATT **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
