Job Summary: Pre-Operative Registered Nurse in Austin, Texas. This contract position involves providing pre-operative care to surgical patients within a busy day surgery unit. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services in a team-oriented environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the pre-surgical phase.
Job Details:
Location: Austin, Texas
Shift: Days, 8:00 A.M. 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday
Staff: 8 nurses per shift, including 1 charge nurse on daytime shift
Patient Ratios: 2:1
Equipment: Glucometers, GE monitors, bladder ultrasound
EMR System: Meditech
Unit Type and Duties:
Specializations include orthopedic, neuro, genitourinary, ENT, and gynecological procedures
The role involves team collaboration, staying current with unit policies, and maintaining professional appearance per dress code
Preferred Qualifications: Prior pre-op experience; ability to keep pace with a busy unit; team-oriented personality Compatible with scrubs in blue color
