Job Summary: Pre Op Registered Nurse position located in Winchester, Virginia. This role involves providing pre-operative care to patients in a facility with 20 beds, primarily supporting on-campus surgery centers and sister units. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional to ensure patient readiness for surgery, adhering to clinical and operational standards.
Job Details:
Shift: Days, 8 hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Virginia State License, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, a minimum of 2+ years of pre-operative admission experience, and proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system
Preferred Qualifications: Strong intravenous (IV) skills and experience working with a geriatric patient population for at least 6 months
Float: Float rotation may be required to sister units and other support areas as needed
Additional Information: The unit handles diverse adult patients, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1. The role involves working with ultrasound equipment and possibly IV procedures. Uniform includes navy blue scrubs, following facility dress code policy.
