This unit features:

  • 7 Operating Rooms
  • Specialties include Neuro, Plastics, ENT, Breast, General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Vascular, and Endoscopy.

Job Overview

The Preop/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures, ensuring safe and effective recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit.

Call Requirements

  • Approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call within an 8-week period.
  • Weeknight call hours: 9 PM - 7 AM
  • Weekend call hours: 7 AM - 7 AM
  • Holiday call is required.

Shift Details

Shifts typically range from:

  • 6 AM - 6:30 PM
  • 7 AM - 7:30 PM
  • 8 AM - 8:30 PM
  • 9 AM - 9:30 PM

Qualifications

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Active license through Nursys
