Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in endoscopy to join our dynamic team. This position involves working in a fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment with a focus on providing optimal patient care.

Schedule

• Day Shift, 4 x 10s, Monday to Friday
• Rotating day off based on schedule
• Start time between 5:30 AM and 11:00 AM (varies based on case volume)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) phases, focusing on Phase II recovery.
• Administer moderate sedation and ensure rapid patient turnover.
• Manage care for preoperative patients including open heart and total joint patients.
• Utilize Epic systems for patient documentation and management.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required, with a strong preference for outpatient surgery and perioperative experience.
• Experience with pre-op and PACU workflows is essential.
• Experience with moderate sedation techniques and managing diverse patient populations is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Experience in an acute care facility is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification: Required
