Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active HI RN license and acute care experience with telemetry monitoring.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds, including 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
• Patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU
• Night shift hours from 1845 to 0715, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• No on-call requirements
• Facility operates 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday
• Uses Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication administration
• Utilizes BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
• Float requirement to other acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment, or must apply upon acceptance of offer if not already held
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Skilled in telemetry strip reading and fingerstick blood sugar testing

Additional Information

• Provide primary nursing care with continuous telemetry monitoring
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of assignment
• Travelers with a Monday start should plan to arrive in Hawaii the preceding Thursday to report to Employee Health on Friday morning
• Scrubs required as part of the dress code
• COVID-19 vaccination required for consideration
