- Floating: May float to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license required by start date
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred; 2 to 10 years of experience aligns well with this role
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
- Experience in stepdown, telemetry, med-surg, or cardiovascular nursing preferred
- Comfortable using Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
- Professional nursing attire and clean scrubs required
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult stepdown and med-surg patients
- Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond appropriately in an acute care environment
- Administer medications and perform nursing interventions according to unit protocols
- Support patients with complex medical and surgical needs, including cardiac-focused care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Float to medical, surgical, or cardiovascular units when needed
- Document accurately in the EMR and maintain clear clinical communication throughout the shift
