Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN for a 13-week night shift float pool position requiring pressor titration skills and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Nursing Float Pool position within a hospital setting
• Progressive Care specialty with patient ratios between 1:3-5
• 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights)
• Weekly Monday start dates
• Floating required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
• Floating may occur in 4-hour blocks while on shift
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be able to titrate pressors

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS-AHA certification required
• ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required for candidates without prior travel experience
• Must be able to titrate pressors

• Day one pass/fail testing required, including Tele/ECG and Medication testing

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing services within a float pool role, floating across multiple units as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Required vaccinations include COVID (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• First-time travelers will be considered, though Level 1 trauma experience becomes required in that case
