Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit position on night shift, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a dedicated Stroke Unit background.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) in a hospital setting
• Dedicated Stroke Unit with 30 beds
• Patient population includes Medical, DKA, Cardiac, GI, Renal, Sepsis, Trauma, and Surgery cases
• 1:4 nurse to patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• ACLS certification required (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for a medically diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, and trauma cases
• Radius rule applies which may affect eligibility for travel pay rate depending on distance from facility
• Only one submission allowed per candidate across all Ascension facilities system wide
• Candidates should discuss potential contract extensions with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
• COVID vaccination not required for this position
