Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit requiring 2+ years of acute PCU experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 42-bed Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit (3E/3W TCU)
• Patient ratios of 4:1 or 3:1
• Cares for patients with stroke, transplant, and Parkinson's disease diagnoses
• RN must read telemetry and titrate medications
• Uses equipment including dynamap and bladder scanner
• Administers time-critical medications including insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, heparin, and nitro
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule, 6:45pm-7:15am
• Works 3 shifts per week, 36 hours weekly, on a 12-hour shift schedule
• Every other weekend required per unit need
• No local rate drop

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in neuro care required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
