Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in an urban healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to cardiology surgical and medical patients, including those undergoing procedures such as catheterizations, thoracentesis, and advanced heart failure management. Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

• Location: The healthcare facility

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must have cardiology experience with at least 2 years of relevant nursing experience. Candidate must be proficient with Meditech electronic medical records and possess current nursing licensure.

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

• Additional Responsibilities:

  • Administering cardioversions and radiologist-guided thoracentesis
  • Managing patients with advanced heart failure, LVAD placements, and post-cardiac catheterization care
  • Collaborating with a team to follow unit policies and procedures, particularly related to falls and skin integrity protection

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LVAD management
  • Proficiency in Meditech systems

• Float: Float rotation may be required

• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to start by October 26, 2026, for an assignment ending January 25, 2027.
