Job Description:

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse will provide highly individualized care to medical, cardiac, and surgical complex patients requiring intermediate care. This includes managing patients with conditions such as sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, angina, heart failure, and more. The role involves close collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform head-to-toe assessments every 6 hours and document thoroughly.
• Manage PCU drips including Dopamine, Dobutrex, Nitro, Heparin, among others.
• Float as needed according to unit policy for travel RNs.

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in cardiac/telemetry and PCU and/or critical care.
• Advanced skills including IV insertion, chest tube management, tracheostomy experience, and more.
