• Schedule: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; varying schedule

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500–$1,580
• Holiday Requirement: Work two of the following three major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday.

PCU RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit, step-down, or intermediate-care nursing experience
• Strong patient assessment and clinical prioritization skills for acutely ill patients requiring intermediate-level care
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Ability to work a 12-hour night schedule and meet holiday coverage requirements

Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit setting.
• Monitor patients requiring frequent assessments, cardiac monitoring, and timely clinical intervention.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary care team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nursing colleagues, patients, and families to support individualized care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care-plan updates accurately.
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the assignment.
