Job Summary:
Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Florence, Alabama. This role involves providing advanced patient care on a 2nd-floor unit specializing in adult and geriatric populations, including post vascular, post coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), cerebrovascular accident (CVA), respiratory failure, and heart failure cases. The position requires collaboration within a team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 1 year of experience; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Alabama state nursing license; located within the United States.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, experience with TR Bands.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to medical-surgical units, but not likely.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has 31 beds with patient ratios of approximately 1:4 to 1:5.
  • Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps and occasional epidural pumps.
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is Meditech.
  • The hiring profile seeks kind, respectful, team-oriented, punctual, and flexible individuals.
  • Dress code requires royal blue scrubs.
  • Position is a contractor replacement starting on 08/31/2026.
