Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility dedicated to providing specialized inpatient care. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, supervising healthcare assistants and orientees, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. The RN will work night shifts, starting on 09/07/2026 and ending on 12/07/2026, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift, a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience in settings such as stepdown, intensive care unit (ICU), or long-term acute care (LTAC).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working specifically within progressive care or stepdown units.
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, and participates in patient rehabilitation programs. Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from day one of admission. Consistently documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely. Seeks consultation from senior nursing staff for complex clinical decisions and participates in team activities to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development opportunities. Maintains effective communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical needs.
