Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in high-volume hospital environments.

Details

• Work setting: Intermediate Care Unit (7L IMCU) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Unit size: 16–20 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
