Job Summary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location: Not specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with a wide variety of conditions, including cardiac, neurological, and general medical cases. The position requires adaptability and clinical proficiency within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
Job Details
Position Description: RN/PCU, Night Shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week with a scheduling guarantee of three shifts every 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar setting.
Certifications: ACLS preferred; BLS and NIHSS required.
Skills: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response teams, IV therapy including port access and blood product administration, management of chest tubes, respiratory support including Non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy, and wound care.
Additional Information: Floating within scope may be required among multiple medical/surgical units and to different campuses as needed. Candidates must have completed Epic EMR training modules prior to start and adhere to compliance and submission deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, community hospital settings, and Epic charting system.
Submission Requirements: All documentation and compliance modules must be completed two Fridays prior to start date.
