Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift telemetry step-down position requiring a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• 26-bed unit with all private rooms
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Step-down unit from ICU with all patients on telemetry and heart monitors
• Manages critical drips and patients ranging from GI bleed to COVID or respiratory distress
• Night shift schedule: 3x12, 7p-7a
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

• Provides comprehensive nursing assessments, treatments, and care coordination for step-down patients
• Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegates and oversees care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
