Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in an intensive care setting. Responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by following individualized care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety. This role emphasizes assessment, patient education, discharge planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) prior to the first shift. A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience in critical care or progressive care settings is highly desired. Experience in critical care is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit is preferred.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and initiates discharge planning from day one. Maintains timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and interventions. Provides patient education and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support patient safety and quality outcomes. Demonstrates leadership by providing supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, participating in team building activities, and assuming charge responsibilities after orientation. Committed to ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.
