Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care for cardiac and vascular patients within a 34-bed level 3 trauma center. The role emphasizes cardiac telemetry, post-operative cardiac care, and management of complex cardiac conditions, requiring strong clinical skills and compassionate patient interaction.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 2 years of experience in cardiac or progressive care unit; experience caring for cardiovascular patients, interpreting rhythms, and managing epidurals and chest tubes.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac drip management including nitro, heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required; traveler is first to float on Med/Surg and ICU overflow assignments.
  • Additional Information: The unit values a respectful, calm, and team-oriented personality. Orientation consists of a 12-hour NEO2 onboarding. No holiday or on-call commitments, with flexibility for extra shifts. The unit utilizes EMR: EPIC, and bedside monitors from Philips. Parking options available.
