Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care through comprehensive assessments, patient education, and collaborative team efforts. The RN supervises nursing personnel and participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning, ensuring safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification prior to first shift; ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience preferred; no specific experience minimum is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU); strong communication and teamwork skills; proficiency in patient assessments and documentation.
  • Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, initiates discharge planning, and documents all patient care activities thoroughly. The RN ensures patient safety by adhering to safety protocols, supervising ancillary staff, and contributing to a positive work environment. The role involves active participation in team building and professional growth.
