Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring MI licensure and at least 1 year of PCU or ICU experience.

Details

• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical step-down unit (2 East)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, sometimes 3:1
• Care for patients with chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC and other central lines, ostomies, trachs, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains
• Manage drips and IV infusions including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation required
• Epic experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• ICU background preferred due to high acuity of the unit

Additional Information

• Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility may qualify for local rates
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
