A registered nurse (RN) specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in an inpatient healthcare setting. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, performing nursing assessments, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. The position requires supervising ancillary nursing staff and contributing to patient safety and quality outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only)
• Education and Experience: No minimum years of experience required; 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired
• Specialty: Progressing Care Unit (PCU)
• Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, documenting assessments and interventions, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, initiating discharge planning, and ensuring continuity of care.
• Provides direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques in decision-making and prioritization.
• Ensures personal and environmental safety aligns with hospital and nursing policies, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
• Participates in team-building activities and communicates effectively with the healthcare team to support patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Assumes charge responsibility following orientation, actively pursuing professional development, and prioritizing activities for efficient patient care management.
