Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, supervising support staff, and ensuring patient safety. This role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (if applicable), a minimum of two years bedside clinical experience, and relevant nursing licensure and education in accordance with population served criteria
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications, relevant specialty training, or relevant experience in progressive care nursing are advantageous
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive patient assessments within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans. Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely. Participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning, initiating patient teaching from the day of admission. Communicates patient status changes to support continuity of care and patient safety. Delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary staff and supervises their performance. Promotes safety and teamwork in the clinical environment, actively contributing to a positive work atmosphere. Follows all facility policies regarding personal appearance, attendance, punctuality, and safety protocols.
