Job Summary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in a community hospital setting. This role involves providing patient care for individuals with diverse clinical conditions, including CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, and post-cath patients, among others. The position requires a strong background in monitoring complex patients and managing various medical devices and treatments.
Job Details
Location: Community hospital with 226 beds, including 20 ACU beds and 11 CCU beds.
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a schedule of 36 hours per week.
Start Date: 11/02/2026
End Date: 01/30/2027
Required Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS, BLS; Education: relevant nursing degree; Location Requirements: must have at least 2 years of experience; Years of Experience: 2 years.
Responsibilities: Managing patients with CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DKA, post-cath care, blood product administration, and more. Tasks include operating chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, monitoring femoral arterial sheaths, and handling various ventilator and infusion therapies.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, with every other weekend rotation.
Float: Float rotation may be required to PCU level or below throughout the hospital.
Submission: Candidates must meet the minimum experience and certification requirements to be considered.
