Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient PCU experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 0645-1915
• Every other weekend required per unit need
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
• Neuro experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and coordinates patient/family education
• Supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts within a Practice Governance framework
