Job Summary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse Night Shift the healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated PCU nurse for a night shift position at a 24-bed facility. This role involves managing critically ill adult and geriatric patients, providing complex care including stroke, trauma, cardiac, and respiratory support within a Level II Trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
Job Details
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
Education Requirements: Current state or Compact license.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or related telemetry experience, including charge nurse responsibilities, blood product administration, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergent cardioversion.
Shift: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week, minimum 48 hours.
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per day, minimum 48 hours per week.
Additional Information: Experience with charting systems such as Epic. The unit supports IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as stroke, heart failure, sepsis, and respiratory failure. Special procedures include emergent cardioversion and central line placement.
Submittal Requirements: State or Compact license must be in hand. All RTO (Request for Time Off) requests must be listed at submittal. Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler.
