Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) care in Casper, Wyoming. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for adult patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, promotes safety, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in Wyoming or a compact RN licensure for the state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably with exposure to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), is desired. Maintain clinical performance competencies demonstrated through annual validations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Professional certification relevant to acute or progressive care is also preferred.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and discharge planning needs. Formulate and revise care plans, provide direct patient care, delegate appropriately, and participate in research and quality improvement activities. Communicates effectively across departments and with external contacts. The environment may require physical agility, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds, while adhering to standard precautions for blood and bodily fluid exposure.
