Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Marquette, Michigan. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level 2 Intensive Care Unit with open heart programs, cath lab, neuroSurgery, trauma center, and CRRT programs. The RN will work a night shift, ensuring patient safety and comfort while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, specialized setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as an RN, current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar environment
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, pediatric DKA
- Float: Float rotation may be required, with coverage on a rotation basis among travel nurses
- Additional Information: Floating is performed on a rotation with travel nurses. The unit cares for geriatric and adult patient populations with common diagnoses including post-open heart surgery, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU cases, post-stroke, and septic shock. The facility utilizes EHR systems such as Cerner, and the equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, vents, BIPAP, and high flow oxygen.
